Born in Murshidabad, West Bengal, Shreya Ghoshal is India's defining female voice of the 21st century. She burst onto the scene by winning the TV reality contest Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2000 and made her Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas (2002), earning a National Film Award at just eighteen.
In the two decades since, she has sung across twenty Indian languages, amassed five National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards, and built a global streaming presence unmatched by any Indian female artist. Equally at home in classical ragas, romance ballads, and folk anthems, she remains the go-to voice for India's biggest film composers.
